Locals Launching in the Lower Mainland

Locals are groups of youth in and from care who come together regularly to meet new people, do fun activities, develop their skills and unite their voices to make change.  We are excited to announce that two new locals will be starting up in the Lower Mainland this year.  Come on out to see what Locals and the Fed are all about!

North Vancouver: The North Shore Neighbourhood House will be hosting a launch event on Monday January 15, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pmat the JBCC Youth Centre located at 145 West 1st Street in North Vancouver.  There will be food, activities and an opportunity for youth to share their ideas of what they want to see in a Local Youth in Care Network.  Click here to see the poster.

Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows: PLEA Community Services will be hosting a launch event on Monday January 22, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Westview Secondary School Small Gym – 20905 Wicklund Avenue, Maple Ridge.  There will be food, games and prizes and an opportunity for youth to share their ideas of what they want to do as a group.
