Power Pages is our provincial magazine, distributed to more than 5,000 young people, service providers and caregivers around the province and to other Networks across Canada. It offers a platform for young people to express their concerns and experiences, unite their voice and build their network, and learn about opportunities and services available to them through MCFD and other community partners. It’s also another way to stay in the loop with Federation news and programs. Each edition contains information and updates about FBCYICN projects and programs, youth-in/from-care, partner- agency updates, important information about opportunities, resources and tips relevant to young people in and from care, and, most importantly, articles, reports, stories, ideas, art and poetry by BC youth in and from care.

Are you an agency representative wanting to submit an article for Power Pages? This is an opportunity to share information about your organization’s programs and services, and to advertise for new opportunities and upcoming events related to BC youth in and from care.
Submission does not guarantee it will be printed as we prioritize work from young people (see our Editorial Policy below). Your organization must be BC-based and offer opportunities/services related to young people in and from government care between the ages of 14 and 24. NOTE: We are a provincial organization, and so your organization and services must be available to youth from all across the province, and not only to those of one particular region.
FBCYICN Editorial Policy:
FBCYICN welcomes all submissions, including agency updates, articles, reports, stories, poems, lifestyle pieces, art and photography, relevant to youth in and from care in BC. Sometimes we receive more submissions than we are able to print in the next issue, in which case we prioritize submissions from BC’s youth in care and will opt to print only one piece from each young person, keeping the rest for future Power Pages. NOTE: Articles printed in Power Pages do not necessarily reflect the opinions or values of FBCYICN
