Membership Interview Month with Jared

We caught up with Jared, long time Fed member and one of our Victoria Local Leaders. Check out our News section on our website to read more interviews from membership month and follow us on Instagram to be notified as they go up.

How long have I been a part of the Fed?

I have been a member since 2012

Why did you decide to join up and be involved in the Victoria Local?

I wanted to help youth in and from care have a place to have fun things to do

What would you say to a young person who is considering getting involved with the Fed?

The Fed is a great place to meet new people and to learn new things, and the SCM's are a great place to meet new friends.

What is your favorite Fed memory?

My favorite Fed memory was the first time I came to a SCM, I did a dance, and there was so much support about how good my dancing style was.

How has being involved in the Fed impacted your life?

It makes me more of a positive person, and I have tried new things that I never thought I would ever do.

What of the fed's programs is most important to you?

The SCM's are the most important to me because they help you see how to become a good leader, and a good supporter of youth in and from care.

"I have to say to everyone at the Fed - I am happy to be a part of the Fed, you all make me happy every day seeing how you are all helping youth in care"
