Program Support Volunteer Role

Current Opportunities

Program Support – Power  Pages Distribution Party

We are looking for multiple youth and alumni volunteers to support with packing and distribution of our annual magazine, Power Pages.

This role involves organizing, packing, and addressing parcels of Power Pages according to distribution lists. Please note that there will be repetitive motions, and the work will be done mostly seated. This opportunity is only available to those in the Lower Mainland who can travel to the Fed office on their own.  

Start Date: Jan 30, 2025 
End Date: Jan 30, 2025 
Time Commitment: 10AM to 4PM (approximately 6 hours)  
Where: Fed Office – New Westminster  (Volunteer is responsible for getting to and from Fed office)
Training: Hands on training at the Fed Office  
Other Information: Lunch will be provided for volunteers

Program Support – Membership Kits 

We are looking for a youth volunteer to support the building of our Fed Membership Welcome Kits. Our welcome kits are an important way that we connect with new Fed Members across the province.

Each kit is hand packaged and addressed and includes a welcome note, Power Pages, a Fed notebook, Membership Pins and more.

Start Date: Ongoing
End Date: Ongoing
Time Commitment: 3-5 hours
Where: Fed Office – New Westminster (Volunteer is responsible for getting to and from Fed office)
Training: Hands on training at the Fed Office

Program Support – Dream Fund Selection Committee

Have you ever filled out an application and wondered what happens next and how decisions get made?  Are you interested in being a part of a team that makes decisions on which amazing young people to award $$$ to for them to pursue some of their personal and educational dreams?  If so, you should be a part of the Dream Fund Selection Committee!  We are looking for 2 youth volunteers, and 1 Fed Alumni to join the committee. No previous experience is necessary!     

As a committee, you will be responsible for recommending successful applicants for our Dream Fund Bursaries (Education Achievement Bursary and Reach for Success Bursary), both of which provide financial support ($$$) to young people interested in career training and/or education opportunities.     

Start Date: February 3, 2025 (Selection Committee Packages will be sent to you by email)
End Date: February 7 2025 - 1PM-3:30PM Selection Committee Meeting 
Time Commitment: 6-8 hours (2.5-hour committee meeting and 3-5 hours of evaluating applications)
